"Having attended a number of different Fitness Centres during the past 30 years and settled into a comfortable niche with one in particular, it was with some hesitancy that I first sampled the services available at The Old Rectory.
I found my initial apprehension totally unfounded. Now, after 18 months membership and attendance that averages three sessions each week, I have more than enough experience to say, without reservation, that it is not only a good centre, but the best I have ever enjoyed.
The staff (who are welcoming and professional), supervision, management and directors all combine to maintain an excellent fitness environment, while most other members I meet are as friendly as one could wish. There are, of course, "cheaper" venues - competition is keen - but what matters is value for money and here The Old Rectory is supreme. I have no hesitation in recommending membership to anyone, whatever their objectives." Barry Boulton
"Probably because the Old rectory is smaller than most other fitness centres, it has managed to retain the personal touch, thus making it the ideal place to be able to come to on your own and fit in ( excuse the pun) from day one. The reception area is welcoming, friendly and helpful, as are all the gym staff. It’s sometimes difficult to immediately adapt to changes that may be made at the club, but members can see the benefits quite quickly.
Then there is the fact that The Old rectory is one of the very few establishments which don’t allow children and I know I reflect the opinion of many others when I say – long may that last!" Babs Foster
"We have been members for 17 years. The staff are always cheerful, helpful and encouraging. We would advise anyone to give it a go, it will change your outlook on life and fitness for the better” Bernadette and Peter Russell
